HfK is an internationally orientated artistic institute of higher education, uniting the Fine Arts and Music under one roof. The close proximity and interaction between art and design as well as the bridge to the world of music constitute its supporting pillars.
A main thrust is to purposefully extend the intermedia field whilst continuing the classical disciplines. The studies and teaching live from the mutual inspiration generated by old and new – the goal is to develop artistic creativity in all media forms.
